  Best Children's book ever

  I have loved this book ever since I can remember. It has positively ruined me for my birthday every year, I do absolutely nothing I don't want to do. I eat cake for breakfast if I want, and I never go to work that day. What a positive and creative book this is, it totally convinced me that everyone is worth spoiling rotten at least one day a year. And the pictures are so emotive and beautiful - that last image of the child bundled up safely on the flying platter is so comforting. Both my sons love the book and request it read often. I sent this as a gift to my mother to supplement something else, and she really enjoyed it. I think it's a pretty generic gift as it's just basically a variety of snacks and candy, but it's a great way to show someone you're thinking about them on their birthday.   This candle was an extremely cool birthday surprise. You light the middle, it starts spewing music, then the petals with the individual candles come down and it starts spinning to the music. All-in-all an adorable birthday cake accoutrement.However - the flame that shot up when we first lit the candle was about 9-12 inches tall. And lasted for about a minute or a little under. Which is all well and good when this is for your 26th birthday, but may be not so great for a 3rd or 4th birthday. Parents - just use your discretion. If your kid enjoys flames and moving parts, but knows to stay well and good away from them until a parent says its safe to blow it out - then go for it.Again - FUN!   It was FUN!

  Overall the singing and animated candle is just really fun. The product might not work as wished, but it lights up the party.At the beginning, we couldn't really hear the birthday song and had to make people kinda quiet just to be able to hear it; it got slightly louder almost at the end of the song.So, i guess the consistency of the product quality isn't there yet. If you're lucky, you'll get those batch that are perfect, and of course if you're not so lucky, you'll probably be disappointed a little bit, but you'll definitely still see the few seconds of 'wow' look on your friends' or family's faces.Also, just fyi, you don't want to start this candle first and bring it out.   Did not arrive in time for my daughter's birthday.

  This product arrived very late and the company did not care to do recompense me in anyway. That said, my daughter loved playing with them when they finally DID arrive. In fact she still does. They are great for putting into boxes and bowls and for counting. They DO NOT float properly, that is they float upside down, because of their small size.   I just received this shipment of birthday rubber ducks. I open the package and was incredibly disappointed. These ducks are dirty with ink serial number all over them and not nearly the quality that is shown in the picture.   Missing lip gloss

  I bought this as a gift for a friend. This is the first time I have used Amazon to send a gift to a third party and the lip gloss is missing. I feel helpless to solve the problem because I am several states away, and I feel bad that the gift she received was not perfect. I can't find any information to contact the manufacturer so I will have to go to the store and buy the missing piece and ship it myself. He wants you to know that this toy is lots of fun because the candles are great to hold onto when running around and the music makes it interesting. He got one for his first birthday and basically chewed off most of the candles after months of playing with it and that is why we bought the same exact item again for his second birthday which was in November. When it came, the description on the back of the book had been changed, and no longer are any of the pictures made of sparkly foil. The description on Amazon is inaccurate.   I bought this book for my son a few months prior to his first birthday to help him learn about the birthday celebration. I also didn't want him to be frightened at his first birthday party with everyone singing to him, which is a lot of stimuli for a baby, so this book helped prepare him. This book is very colorful, filled with sparkley foiled pages and lots of cute surprises. It quickly became one of his favorite stories to read and was a well loved book. I now buy it as a first birthday gift for all the babies in our life. Karen Katz has yet again created a delightful book filled with whimisical illustrations that capture a baby's attention. The "lift the flaps" concept is wonderful for babies and toddlers. This board book is sturdy, but not indestructible. The flaps are glued on, so they can be torn off, but they do repair reasonably well.
