Stunning!
These lights are gorgeous! I say that as someone who's first word was "light" and who has worked as a Hollywood lighting specialist for 35 years. I'm always looking for something new and special in LED's and this is it. The string is composed of 4 colors of lights -- blue, red, green, yellow -- each on their own circuit, and a tiny plastic control box that let's you select from 8 different light patterns including random. I found the faster patterns more appropriate for a Christmas tree or a party, but the Slo Fade was just what I was looking for. Each color slow fades up and slow fades down while overlapping with the next color -- a little reminiscent of a fireworks show.The set of lights I ordered a few weeks ago had no identification, no brand, no safety warnings, -- nothing. The one I'm looking at now is a Christmas present for someone so I'll leave it wrapped up. It's in a plastic hang bag with the name "Lucky Star" and the words, "Made in China." Excellent quality! Excellent price!
I bought these because my 8 yr old daughter wanted some flashing Christmas lights for our entry/doorway. I bought 2 of them. I was pleasantly surprised to find them of good quality and great effect! Many different settings, bright and very intense colors! Strong cords/wiring so wrapped them around wood framework over our doorway. I didn't even need tape or clips! Solid state will last a very long time with care. compact light string, smelly plastic
I like that one string was sufficient for our 6ft tree. The different functions are nice. I didn't have any safety issues with the electrical side of things - it's not a polarized plug, and it is made for weather-protected locations only. I like how compact it is. The colors are bright - the blue and green more so than the red and orange.I don't like the strong plastic vapors which emanate from it. I put it on our porch to let the fumes disperse a bit and went ahead and used it on our tree since it's only for a couple of weeks, and we didn't have any other lights for it. I sure wouldn't use it in a bedroom. Next year, I'll get a different set for the tree and these will probably light up our (covered) back porch. I wouldn't have bought them for the tree had I known of that beforehand.Update: This year, the smell has finally mitigated. Back onto the porch they go. 3/5 L. Good Product
Was better than expected. The light show is good. It's a little dim for anything thing but dark rooms. Works great as a Christmas display onthe side of a house.That is how I used it and the neighbors all Loved it. Within 10 minutes of setting it up I had several neighbors call or come over to see it. I also works well to Illuminate bare trees and make them appear to be strung with lights.The important thing is to make sure you keep the unit out of the weather. The cold temps don't bother it but rain or wet will kill it.I cut the end out of a plastic storage tub and turned it upside down to set the light into while illuminating the tree and the side of the house.I plan to buy a more powerful one for next Christmas. 3/5 M. Not quite a pro unit, but great for the price
I work as a DJ and lighting technician in a small local club. Thought I'd see if I could save a little money and try out this unit and I'm glad I'm did. Its a small, lightweight unit, so when mounting it to a T-bar or truss system, you hardly even need to consider its weight (you could even mount it with the same bolt as a larger fixture on opposite sides of the T-bar), but for its small size it puts out plenty of laser power. Another DJ I work with owns an ADJ Galaxian, which is pretty much top of the line for portable stage lasers (a $250 unit). I ordered and received 2 boxes of the Bud Light Can sets. Both of the boxes I received had atleast two broken cans inside. They are made of cheap plastic and not fixable. Horrible Quality
This product is garbage. I bought two and screwed them in. After 2 min the one stopped working and 5 min later the other. Decent product. Works great under very dark conditions.
The lights aren't as visible under dim lighted conditions. It's great when it's really dark. Would recommend using at least two or three for a medium to large size pool. When not in the pool, my kids play with this in their room with the lights off. It makes colorful images on the wall. Almost like being in a dance club wilth all the lights. These are wonderful....if you buy a bunch of them. I bought one and it didn't cover the whole pool like it says it does. So I went back and bought 3 more. Fun item but could be improved
I bought this for my parents to use in their hot tub. The light show wasn't anything close to how it is depicted in the ad. It was still fun. Some of the various settings cycle quickly through the different colors like a strobe light. It gave all of us headaches within seconds. The part of the device that is floating out of the water is transparent. This distracts you from the underwater light show. It is this feature that makes the strobe light setting unbearable. The light coming from the top is blinding.Now for the positive: If this is being used in a hot tub, the light provided from the AquaGlow is more muted than the light installed in the hot tub. It makes for a more relaxing environment. Again, don't expect the underwater show to look anything like the picture but with that in mind, I'd say it is worth it. IF IT WORKED, it's a night light... not a projector
I thought this would be fun to be in my room to put a little color and light in my room at night to help relax. Unfortunately this product doesn't do what is says it does.The product has the following issues:· "Star Master" title on product is actually "Star Sweet Heart"· Poorly constructed· The two buttons for the "LED" and "STAR" functions were loose in the bag and had to be pressed on· When I went to press the buttons on, the base came off and the parts inside moved and were not secure making it extremely difficult to press the buttons onto the small little white tabs inside the base unit· Does not rotate as described· Lights are weak· Could not light up a 5'x8' closet· Poor quality materials. Pieces fell apart and need much attention to correct· No educational purpose· Does not include AC adapter cord to plug into wall. Starry Night is really a BLACK HOLE! Do not buy
I spent $39.99 on this light as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. It looks a lot better in the photo than it really is. The "light" is constructed from cheap plastic. The piece that wraps around the outside of the bulb is flimsy and it came off the so called lamp. Not only was it cheaply constructed, it didn't even work. Don't waste your time on this piece of junk. This "starry night" was really a black hole. Piece of garbage
If I could give this product zero stars, I would. This foreign piece of crap came with the wrong adapter (does not work in US outlets), and (unlike what the pictures seem to insinuate) it does not rotate or even shine very brightly. It is a cheap plastic housing with a cheap plastic cover over the top that looks like a third grader made it in earth science class. I had ordered it as a Christmas present for the kids bedroom, but I'd be embarrassed to even give it to a 5 and 7 year old. Save your money. 1/5 G. For the price you really can't complain!
What was I expecting? I'm not sure. But these were cheap as hell! If you're trying to be colorful and flamboyant on a budget, this is for YOU.Too bad there are only 6 LEDs in this whole setup, and only 3 settings. The frame is super-thick, so if you were looking for something low profile, look elsewhere. Exactly what I needed
The Moonbeam is exactly what I needed. It isn't a centerpiece but it's an excellent addition to a decent light show. You really need a fog machine for this to be much more than lights on the celling.It worked perfect right out of the box. It includes 3 different sets of mirrors but you will have to open the unit to change these so decide ahead of time what will look good.It comes with a 3-way switch that has always on, sound activated and stoped. You really need a fog machine for this to be much more than lights on the celling.It worked perfect right out of the box. Can't get it to work right. Update much better
Maybe I'm just stupid or not playing my music loud enough but I just can't get music sync to work. The instructions are limited and it just keeps spinning or doesn't move at all Both the I and II symbol just spin and the center one stays static. I bought this just for music sync and it won't work. Just frustrated with it. Be CarefulUpdate now that amazon flew a replacement to my house (thanks by the way)It works great reacts to music and is pretty cool I am not a dj and bought this for personal use and party's the only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the defective one left a bad taste in my mouth (yeah I know, that's what she said) but I would recommend for both djs and private users the hardware is a little cheap but the unit is of good weight and feels good. 4/5 M. great for the price

CHeap. Not at all what I expected
I'm not sure what possessed me to go by the way these lights look in the picture. I purchased them for my balcony and the line is so short it barely hangs a quarter through and my balcony is not that large. It's about 8 little 99 cent store quality painted flip flops with (only pro) what appears to be bright lighting. I still intend to use them but I'll have to buy more because the line is so short (again only 8 or so flip flops). Cheap, cheap, cheap!
I ordered the plastic flip flop party string lights because I had purchased two strings in Florida and wanted more to surround the patio. When I received them, I was very disappointed in the quality of the flip flops. They did not match the ones that I already had, which cost less than these through Amazon. I am going to keep them, as they are better than nothing, but I will never order anything else from this supplier. They are cheap, cheap, cheap, but they cost a pretty penny for junk. 1/5 Claudia R. Reacts to my tv remote
These lights function as they should, and put out a good output. The reason I marked them down is because they react to my tv remote. So, if I have them "turned off" and I change the volume on my tv, they suddenly start color strobing. Other functions on my tv remote cause other settings.I own four similar lights from two other companies and I've never had this problem with them. 3/5 J. Not as impressive as the led strips but I can see its use on holidays or for mood lighting.
